Announcing The New Motorola Atrix 4g

I just read a great post announcing  the new Motorola Atrix a 4g smartphone which in essence is a laptop in everything but name, the year 2011 has gotten of to a flying start.Below are just some of the features of the Motorola Atrix taken from the above article.

"The phone end of things is a sleek, carbon-fiber-looking handset, with a dual-core, super-fast Tegra 2 processor under the hood,
 - 1GB of notebook-grade RAM,
 - 16GB of built-in memory

Slap it into a standalone dock connected to a screen, or slip it into the laptop dock, and the phone is the engine for an Android notebook. Since your phone retains all your apps and potentially virtualized applications via Citrix in the cloud you can go from dock to dock bringing what Motorola calls your "webtop" with you. The laptop dock, for example, is essentially a screen, battery and a little intelligence. All the processing, all the storage, all the important stuff stays on your phone. That allows the laptop dock to be very thin, light, and light on battery consumption"

AT&T will be the carrier of the phone.

Let me know your thoughts of the phone

5 things in picking the best smart phone available

That is a question a lot of people ask themselves in choosing the best smart phone in the market.

However the categories and choices are wide and varied, you need to consider a number of questions is it for business or pleasure,do you want one locked to a phone network or unlocked, what about the memory size, picture quality?

As you can see it is indeed very easy for one to get sidetracked by so many things,so what are the very basic features which any new smart phone should have?

-  Should have a large memory space at the very least 1 GB which right now is gobbled up with a few videos...some phones have up to 32 GB...a memory slot is optional provided the internal memory is large
-  Should be 3g enabled anything less you will be left very frustrated

-  Long battery life, let's face it we nowadays spend a great deal of time using our phones the last thing you want is to have a phone which needs to be constantly charged
-  Easy to use keypad, yes the touch screen is cute and all but how responsive is it to your touch and directions
-  A warranty this is crucial in case anything should happen to the phone you should be able to return it and have it fixed or given another one
This one is purely optional but I love it a camera

Do look out for more posts as I go deeper in picking out the best smartphone for you
